How many types of tires are there?
Highway (spring) (HIGHWAY) tires are designed for driving the car on dry and wet roads with hard surfaces. It is not desirable to use tires belonging to this category on ice and snow in winter. So, the characteristics of these tires are not enough.
Winter (SNOW, MUD + SNOW (M+S)) tires ensure a high level of adhesion to the road surface when driving on snow and ice. The tread pattern is designed to clear snow from the contact area and is characterized by excellent grip properties.
4 seasons (ALL SEASON, ALL WEATHER) tires have excellent grip characteristics on wet and snowy roads, comfort, fairly good handling and wear-resistant tread.
Speed (PERFORMANCE) tires are mainly used in high-end cars. Tires belonging to this type should provide the car with high controllability and good grip properties. These tires must be able to withstand high temperatures in difficult driving conditions.
ALL SEASON PERFORMANCE tires (including snow and ice) are specially designed for those who need improved grip and handling during year-round use.
